The Kristen McMains case: The armed defender’s dilemma
The Kristen McMains case is the story of a young woman who used her concealed firearm to end a vicious, life-threatening attack. On the evening of January 26, 2016, the 25-year-old attorney left her office and stepped into a parking garage elevator. A suspicious man had followed her across the skywalk and joined her. As the elevator doors closed, McMains’ fear spiked when the stranger didn’t push a button. “I had the instinctive feeling I was going to die tonight,” she said, “unless I did something.”

69 mass shootings have been stopped by armed civilians
At least 69 mass shootings have been stopped by armed civilians since 1990, data collected by the Crime Prevention Research Center shows. This flies in the face of the media (examples here, here, and here) arguing mass shootings are caused by lack of gun control. The truth is, armed civilians stop mass shootings regularly, and one major way to dampen the amount of mass shootings is to allow people to carry guns wherever they go.

Resolved: Keep buying guns, especially AR-15s and like weapons, ammunition, and high-capacity magazines
Biden and his fellow miscreants are a nightmare that will not end. It increasingly looks like the citizenry will have to end their term long before 2024. Biden — or whoever gave him the words via earpiece — deliberately lit the fuse for the eventual demise of him and his kind.

US Supreme Court: Gun licensing fees are unconstitutional
While I am not an attorney and cannot give formal legal advice, a 1943 U.S. Supreme Court decision, Murdock v. Pennsylvania, may give Second Amendment–supporters an overwhelming legal weapon with which to destroy every single firearm ownership (although not necessarily concealed carry) licensing scheme in the country. This includes those that require licenses to own or purchase firearms.

Putting Biden’s gun control claims to the truth test
There were so many lies in Vice President Kamala Harris’ and President Joe Biden’s presentations on guns Thursday that it is hard to know where to start. One thing is certain, though: The media fact-checkers won’t question their claims. Here are just a few of the false ones:

New West Virginia law removes sales tax on guns, ammo
While California Democrats are looking to jack up the taxes on guns and ammunition in their latest attempt to punish those exercising their Second Amendment rights, the Republicans in charge of the West Virginia legislature are moving in the opposite direction. On Thursday, Gov. Jim Justice signed H.R. 2499 into law, which will remove the state’s sales tax on firearms and ammunition starting on July 1st.

Biden’s many false claims on gun violence
President Biden’s press conference on guns was filled with inaccuracies and false claims. Ironically, during the campaign last year, Biden disparaged the use of executive orders, “if you can’t get the votes … you can’t [legislate] by executive order unless you’re a dictator. We’re a democracy.” Even more importantly, the changes are arbitrary and won’t make Americans safer.
